Our oak boards with double-sided wane are untrimmed, debarked and planed on one side. It is a purely natural product made from a piece of solid oak wood - just like the trunk grew. This gives each piece its individual character and rustic charm. All of the properties typical of oak wood are retained and may be present:
- naturally curved tree edges
- light sapwood on the edge area
- light to dark brown heartwood
- unique grain and color behavior
- characteristic wooden mirror and knots

Depending on how the trunk has grown, the width can range between 35 - 40 cm. As this is a naturally grown solid wood product, the total width of the shelf can deviate by +/- 2cm.
Material:
Oak is a very stable wood, with a hard surface and long durability. This makes it ideal for a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications. The surface is untreated and has a natural oak character. Each piece has its own individual appearance. The lively grain, cracks and knotholes give you a product with a rustic and authentic look.
The oak wood is technically dried to approx. 8-12% and is therefore free of vermin and pests. The oak board is untrimmed, debarked and dressed on one side. The tree edge side that protrudes downwards is planed.

Processing / Treatment:
Hardwood can be worked easily and cleanly with conventional tools. You can subsequently finish the untreated surface as you wish by staining, oiling, glazing or varnishing. Especially when used outdoors, we recommend constructive wood protection.Note: To avoid warping of the wood, we recommend further treatment from all sides.
