Accessibility Statement
1) Introduction
We are pleased that you are visiting our website and thank you for your interest.
Below you will find information on the accessibility of our online services.
We inform you about:
- what content and functions you can expect on this website,
- how you can use these contents and functions,
- what options for accessible use are available to you, and
- which authority is responsible for monitoring accessibility on this website.
2) Content and functions of this website
This website is an online shop for the sale of goods and services.
Goods in this context are physical items.
Products are presented which can be added to an electronic shopping cart and then ordered and paid for bindingly.
This website contains a header and a footer menu.
The header menu lists the products we sell by category and allows you to access them individually.
Each product is described on its own detail page with further information about its key features, scope of delivery or services, and total price. From there, it can be added to the electronic shopping cart.
The electronic shopping cart can also be accessed via the header menu once you have added at least one product. From there, the electronic ordering process can be initiated and completed.
The footer menu contains links to our legal notice with contact information, as well as information about the legal framework of our online services, delivery and payment options, and additional helpful service pages.
3) Explanations on the use of the content and functions
3.1 Virtual buttons
This website can be operated using virtual buttons.
3.2 Homepage, overview and product detail pages
On the homepage, you will find a selection of products in the central area. By interacting with a product display, you will be taken to the product detail page.
In the header menu, you can navigate between different product categories.
After selecting a category, you will be taken to an overview page showing all products in that category.
By interacting with a product display on the overview page, you will again reach the product detail page.
The product detail pages contain all essential information about the product and total price, as well as, if applicable, a quantity selection element and a shopping cart button.
If available, the desired order quantity can be set using the quantity selector.
3.3 Electronic shopping cart
By clicking the shopping cart button, you add the product (in the selected quantity, if applicable) to the electronic shopping cart.
This shopping cart can be accessed at any time via the header menu.
You can first review the products added. Using the corresponding buttons, products can be removed or, where applicable, quantities can be adjusted.
3.4 Electronic ordering process
After reviewing, you can complete the electronic ordering process by interacting with the corresponding buttons.
You will first be asked to enter your contact details (at least name, email address, and delivery or billing address) via an input form.
You can then choose between the available delivery or service options.
Finally, you select one of the available payment methods, enter the necessary payment details, and complete the order.
The order is only placed bindingly when you click the designated button on the final order page. This button is labeled “Buy”, “Buy now”, “Place order with obligation to pay”, or a similarly clear wording.
Before clicking this button, you can use your browser’s “Back” button at any time to return to previous steps or cancel the order process.
If you choose an online payment method, you will be redirected from the final order page to the payment provider’s system to complete the payment.
4) Legal requirements for accessibility
This website, as an online shop, qualifies as a “service in electronic commerce” and features electronic ordering and payment options.
It is therefore subject to specific legal accessibility requirements.
In general, this website must provide functions and procedures that take into account the needs of people with disabilities and enable usability with digital assistive technologies.
The online shop functions must therefore be:
- perceivable,
- operable,
- understandable, and
- robust.
Perceivability means that information and components are presented in a way that all users can perceive them.
Operability requires that the functions can also be used by people with limited mobility or cognitive abilities.
Understandability means that information and functions are logically structured, easily recognizable, and clearly labeled.
Robustness requires that content and functions can be reliably used without restrictions, even when assistive technologies are used.
If products are offered that have their own accessibility requirements, information on their accessible use must be provided where available.
5) Available aids for accessible use
This website meets accessibility requirements through the following measures:
- Adjustable font size: The font size can be adapted to ensure optimal readability.
- Adjustable color contrast: The contrast of page elements can be increased or decreased.
- Accessible CAPTCHAs: CAPTCHAs can be solved not only visually but also through simple logical tasks.
- Usability via mouse and keyboard: All functions can be used with both mouse and keyboard.
- Browser-independent display: Content is displayed consistently across browsers.
- Cascading Style Sheets (CSS): Presentation and structure are separated, enabling assistive technologies to apply their own display schemes.
- Sufficient spacing between characters: Improves readability.
- Responsive design: Content adapts to different screen sizes.
- Scalability: Content remains readable when zoomed in.
- High color contrast: Ensures optimal visibility.
- Text hints for missing input: Missing required fields are indicated not only visually but also with text.
