Weather-resistant hardwood oil with UV protection

The hardwood oil OLI-NATURA Yacht & Teak Oil in natural and teak protects the wood against sun, rain and greying. Equipped with UV protection, it gives garden furniture, terraces, pool surrounds and yacht decks made of hardwood and exotic wood as well as pressure-treated softwood a weather-resistant surface. The naturally drying oil based on natural oil does not form a surface film, but rather represents an open-pored impregnation. It does not crack, flake or peel, but penetrates deeply into the wood and fills the capillaries. This ensures very good water resistance. The wood remains permeable to diffusion and can release absorbed atmospheric moisture again.

With the colourless version Nature, the grain and colour of the wood are particularly beautifully emphasised. The lightly pigmented version Teak brings transparent colour to the wood. The pigments preserve the structure of the wood and give the surface a natural colour. At the same time, the UV-stable colour pigments help to counteract the natural colour change of the wood for as long as possible. The oils are free of biocidal agents and can therefore also be used for wood indoors.

The application

Preparation: The wood must be clean, dry and free of grease. If the wood is very dirty, it is advisable to clean it first. If necessary, smooth out protruding wood fibres and rough areas with fine sandpaper (220 grain). Shake/stir the container well before use.

Application: Spread the oil evenly in a thin layer with a brush, flat brush or roller in the direction of the grain. After 20-30 minutes of exposure time in the wet phase, repolish with a white pad or cotton cloth. Remove any excess oil with an oil absorbent cloth or similar. If the wood is very dry, repeat the application as described above. Info: Do not paint exterior wood in damp weather or in full sun.

The surface is dry and brittle? The water resistance and colour depth is weakening? - Now it's time for maintenance!
In order to maintain the protective effect, oiling should be done occasionally. To do this, simply apply a little oil to a beige pad or cotton cloth and gently massage it in.

The following applies to everyday cleaning:
Regular dusting forms the basis. For light soiling, it is usually sufficient to wipe the surface with a damp cotton cloth and then wipe dry. Stubborn dirt can be removed gently with our wood soap - diluted with water or pure, depending on the degree of soiling. Do not use all-purpose or conventional household cleaners, as these can leach out the wood and attack the protection. To maintain the protective effect, oil the wood occasionally. To do this, simply apply a little oil to a beige pad or cotton cloth and massage in gently.

Consumption: 1-2 applications | Depending on the absorbency of the substrate 40-80 g/m² per application (12-25 m²/l)

Drying: Depending on the weather, dust-dry after 1-2 hours and fully cured after 2-3 days. Protect from water during this time.

Note: Oil-soaked rags/pads can self-ignite due to heat build-up! Therefore, clean them immediately after use or store them under water. The product itself is not self-igniting
