OLI-NATURA - Worktop-Oil 250ml Natural/Colourless

OLI-NATURA Worktop Oil

Solvent-free worktop oil for particularly stressed solid wood surfaces

The OLI-NATURA Worktop-Oil combines linseed and tung oil in a perfect ratio. It is particularly recommended for the basic treatment & care of heavily used solid wood surfaces with frequent water contact such as in the kitchen & bathroom (kitchen worktops, Furniture & dining tables, washbasins in wet areas). The LFGB certification enables it to be used in food areas (restaurants, hotels, canteens, kindergartens, schools) without hesitation. Thanks to its high tung oil content, it is strongly water-repellent, which makes the surface extremely resistant. In addition, the wood remains open to diffusion, can breathe and absorb part of the humidity in the room. The oiled-impregnated surface is pleasantly lively and the color is deepened. In addition, the worktop oil dries matt and does not tend to shine, which underlines the high quality of the natural oil surface.

The worktop oil is based on modified, unsaturated vegetable oils such as linseed oil and tung oil. When exposed to oxygen, the oil molecules cross-link and harden inside the wood to become tough and elastic. The formulation does not contain any biocides active ingredients nor preservatives and is manufactured without cobalt-containing compounds and oximes.

The hardened material is harmless to humans, animals and plants. It corresponds to the highest Giscode group Ö10+, DIN EN 71-3 (safety of toys) and DIN 53160 (saliva and sweat fastness) and is LFGB-certified. It can can therefore be processed without hesitation on wooden surfaces that come into contact with food.

The application

Preparation: Carefully sand the wooden surface. Start with coarse sanding, finish with 180-240 grit. The wood moisture should be 8-12%. The surface must be dry, free of grease, thoroughly cleaned and free of grinding dust. material process at room temperature. Tip: If possible, neutralize wood containing tannic acid, such as oak, before oiling.

Processing: Rub in the oil with a beige pad by hand or with an eccentric sander until the surface is evenly wetted. Re-oil in dry areas. Wipe off wet oil with a cotton cloth or oil absorbent cloth within 30 minutes and polish out The surface should feel dry. If necessary, polish again the following day with a white polishing pad, cotton or oil absorbent cloth and a little oil (5-10 ml/m²).

The surface is dry and brittle? The water resistance and depth of color are decreasing? - Now it should be maintained!
In order to maintain the protective effect, it should be re-oiled occasionally. Simply put some worktop oil on a beige pad or a cotton cloth and massage in gently.

The following applies to everyday cleaning:
Regular dusting forms the basis. For light soiling, it is usually sufficient to wipe the surface with a slightly damp cotton cloth and then wipe dry. You can remove stubborn dirt Remove gently with our wood soap - diluted with water or undiluted, depending on the degree of soiling. Do not reach for all-purpose or conventional household cleaners, as these can leach out the wood and damage the protection. In order to maintain the protective effect, it should be re-oiled occasionally. Simply put some worktop oil on a beige pad or a cotton cloth and massage in gently.

Consumption: 1 application, depending on the absorbency of the wood approx. 20-40 ml/m² per application (approx. 25-50 m²/l).

Drying: Depending on the humidity/temperature, the surface is dust-dry after 1-2 hours and fully hardened after 5-7 days. Protect from water during this time and treat gently.

NOTE: Cloths/pads soaked with oil can self-ignite due to heat accumulation! Therefore, clean them immediately after use or store them under water. The product itself is of course not self-igniting.
