Deep-acting universal oil

OLI-NATURA Project Oil, based on natural oils, is used for the treatment of furniture, stairs and floorboards on almost all types of wood. It gives the wood a colour-deepening appearance and the grain emerges wonderfully. It has a solid content of 60 %, penetrates deep into the pores and protects the wood reliably from the inside. The deep penetration of the oil produces a clearly darker colour, the so-called permanent wet effect. It does not form a surface layer, but rather represents an open-pore impregnation. Thanks to the high self-penetration of the project oil, it is particularly easy to apply and very economical. With only one to two applications, extremely water- and dirt-repellent wood surfaces are achieved that are easy to maintain and repair-friendly. The project oil is ideal for all leached, untreated, sanded or new wood surfaces, but also for coarse chipboard (OSB) and cork in interior areas.

The cured material is harmless to humans, animals and plants. It complies with DIN EN 71-3 (Safety of toys) as well as DIN 53160 (Saliva and perspiration fastness) and is a building product approved by the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt).

The application

Preparation:Sand wood surface carefully, start with coarse sanding, final sanding for furniture P180-240, for floors P100-150. The surface must be dry, thoroughly cleaned and free from oil, wax, grease, silicone and sanding dust. Apply material at room temperature and shake/stir well!

In furniture: Apply oil thinly and evenly in the direction of the grain with a flat brush/surface brush. After 20-30 minutes exposure time in the wet phase, massage in with a pad (white or beige) or buff out with a cotton cloth/oil absorbent cloth until the surface appears evenly matt. Remove any excess oil with a cotton cloth/oil absorbent cloth. If necessary, a second coat can be applied as described above after drying overnight.

In the parquet area: Apply oil evenly thinly in sections for 5-10 m² with an oil roller, oil applicator, oil brush or flat brush. After 20-30 minutes exposure time in the wet phase, massage in with white or beige pad by hand or single-disc machine until the surface appears evenly matt. Remove any excess oil with a cotton cloth/oil absorbent cloth. After drying overnight, apply a second coat as described above.

The surface is dry and brittle? The water resistance and colour depth is decreasing? - Now it's time for maintenance!
In order to maintain the protective effect, oiling should be done occasionally. To do this, simply apply a little oil to a beige pad or cotton cloth and gently massage it in.

The following applies to everyday cleaning:
Regular dusting forms the basis. For light soiling, it is usually sufficient to wipe the surface with a damp cotton cloth and then wipe dry. Stubborn dirt can be removed gently with our wood soap - diluted with water or pure, depending on the degree of soiling. Do not use all-purpose or conventional household cleaners, as these can leach out the wood and attack the protection. To maintain the protective effect, oil the wood occasionally. To do this, simply apply a little oil to a beige pad or cotton cloth and massage in gently.

Consumption: 1-2 applications | Depending on the absorbency of the substrate, approx. 40-50 g/m² per application (20-25 m²/l)

Drying: Depending on humidity and temperature, the surface is dust-dry after 1-2 hours and fully cured after 2-3 days. Protect from water during this time.

Note: Oil-soaked rags/pads can self-ignite due to heat build-up! Therefore, clean them immediately after use or store them under water. The product itself is not self-igniting.
