OLI-NATURA Hard Wax Oil - Natural
The classic oil-wax combination
.OLI-NATURA Hard Wax Oil is a classic hard wax oil with 60% solid content for treating wood indoors and combines the best properties of wax and oil. While the oil penetrates the wood and protects it from the inside, the wax forms a robust and water-repellent surface film. The wood remains open-pored, can continue to breathe and thus has a positive influence on the indoor climate. The natural colour and grain of the wood are discreetly emphasised and the surface feels pleasant.
The "OLI-NATURA Hard Wax Oil" consists of modified vegetable oils, such as soybean oil, and waxes, such as refined carnauba wax, dearomatised hydrocarbon as well as lead- and cobalt-free drying agents. In doing so, we deliberately avoid the use of critical substances such as preservatives, formaldehydes, aromatics, biocides, cobalt salts and oximes.
It is "Allergy Friendly Quality Tested" and has been awarded the ECARF seal. It is also LFGB certified (food safe) and complies with Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004. The cured material is harmless to humans, animals and plants. It complies with DIN EN 71-3 (Safety of toys) as well as DIN 53160 (Saliva and perspiration fastness) and is a building product approved by the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt)
.The application
The preparation: Sand the wood surface carefully, start with coarse sanding, final sanding for furniture P180-240, for floors P100-150. wood moisture: 8-12%. The surface must be dry, thoroughly cleaned and free of oil, wax, grease, silicone and sanding dust. Apply material at room temperature and shake/stir well.
For floors: Apply oil evenly in a thin layer with a microfibre roller, oil brush or surface brush. Work in sections of between 5 and 15 m². Allow to work in for approx. 30-45 minutes. Now massage in with a white pad by hand or polishing machine and remove excess oil with a cotton cloth or oil absorbent cloth. The surface should now be dry to the touch. After 6-8 hours, apply a second coat without intermediate sanding.
In furniture: Apply a thin layer of oil evenly in the direction of the grain with a brush or flat brush. Allow to soak in for approx. 10-30 minutes. Now remove excess oil with a cotton cloth or oil absorbent cloth. The surface should now be dry to the touch. For large surfaces, use a white pad if necessary. If necessary, a second coat can be applied after 6-8 hours without intermediate sanding
.The surface is dry and brittle? The water resistance and colour depth is weakening? - Now it's time for maintenance!
In order to maintain the protective effect, oiling should be done occasionally. To do this, simply apply a little oil to a beige pad or cotton cloth and gently massage it in.
The following applies to everyday cleaning:
Regular dusting forms the basis. For light soiling, it is usually sufficient to wipe the surface with a damp cotton cloth and then wipe dry. Stubborn dirt can be removed gently with our wood soap - diluted with water or pure, depending on the degree of soiling. Do not use all-purpose or conventional household cleaners, as these can leach out the wood and attack the protection. To maintain the protective effect, oil the wood occasionally. To do this, simply apply a little oil to a beige pad or cotton cloth and massage in gently.
Consumption: 1-2 applications I Depending on the absorbency of the wood 40-50 g/m² per application (20-25 m²/l)
.Drying: Depending on humidity/temperature, the surface is dust-dry after 1-2 hours, fully hardened after 2-3 days. Protect from water during this time.
Note: Oil-soaked rags/pads can self-ignite due to heat build-up! Therefore, clean them immediately after use or store them under water. The product itself is not self-igniting.
