.The OLI-NATURA Hard Wax Oil is a pigmented hard wax oil with 60% solid content for the treatment of wood indoors and combines the best properties of wax and oil. While the oil penetrates the wood and protects it from the inside, the wax forms a robust and water-repellent surface film. The wood remains open-pored, can continue to breathe and thus positively influences the indoor climate. Seven colors are offered, from SAFRAN RED to COTTON WHITE to PEPPER BLACK, all of which can be mixed with each other. In this way, the processor can also create colors himself. A second application intensifies the color effect. To tone down the color, the "OLI-NATURA COLOUR Hard Wax Oil" can also be mixed with the colorless "OLI-NATURA Hard Wax Oil".
The "OLI-NATURA Hard Wax Oil" consists of modified vegetable oils, such as the soybean oil, and waxes, such as the refined carnauba wax, dearomatized hydrocarbon as well as lead- and cobalt-free drying agents. In doing so, we deliberately avoid the use of critical substances such as preservatives, formaldehydes, aromatics, biocides, cobalt salts and oximes.
It is "Allergy Friendly Quality Tested" and has been awarded the ECARF seal. It is also LFGB certified (food safe) and complies with Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004. The cured material is harmless to humans, animals and plants. It complies with DIN EN 71-3 (Safety of toys) and DIN 53160 (Saliva and perspiration fastness) and is a building product approved by the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt)
.The application
.The preparation: Sand wood surface carefully, start with coarse sanding, final sanding for furniture P180-240, for floors P100-150.Wood moisture: 8-12%. The surface must be dry, thoroughly cleaned and free from oil, wax, grease, silicone and sanding dust. Apply material at room temperature and shake/stir well.
For floors: Apply oil with microfiber roller, oil brush or surface brush in an even thin layer. Work in sections between 5 to 15 m². Leave to act for approximately 30-45 minutes. Now massage in with white pad by hand or polishing machine and remove excess oil with a cotton cloth or oil absorbent cloth. The surface should be dry to the touch and not sticky to the touch. After 24 hours, apply second coat without intermediate sanding.
In furniture and staircase areas:Apply oil in an even thin layer with a brush or surface brush in the direction of the grain. Approximately 10-30 minutes allow to act. Now remove excess oil with a cotton cloth or oil absorbent cloth. The surface should now be dry to the touch and not feel sticky. For large surfaces, use white pad if necessary. If necessary, a second coat can be applied after 24 hours without intermediate sanding
.Tip:
- A second application intensifies the intensity of the color.
- For small components or surfaces, a better result can be achieved by applying the hard wax oil directly with a soaked cotton cloth and wiping.
- For heavily used surfaces, it is recommended to apply a second coat after 24 hours at the earliest.
The surface is dry and brittle? The water resistance and color depth is weakening? - Now should be maintained!
To maintain the protective effect, should be occasionally re-oiled. To do this, simply apply a little oil to a beige pad or cotton cloth and gently massage it in.
For everyday cleaning applies:
Regular dusting forms the basis. For light soiling, it is usually sufficient to wipe the surface with a damp cotton cloth and then wipe dry. Stubborn dirt can be gently removed with our wood soap - diluted with water or pure, depending on the degree of soiling. Do never reach for all-purpose or conventional household cleaners, because these can leach out the wood and attack the protection. To maintain the protective effect, you should occasionally re-oil. To do this, simply apply some oil to a beige pad or cotton cloth and massage gently.
Consumption: 1-2 applications I Depending on the absorbency of the wood 40-50 g/m² per application (20-25 m²/l)
.Drying: Depending on humidity/temperature, the surface is dust-dry after 1-2 hours, fully cured after 2-3 days. Protect from water during this time.
Note: Oil-soaked rags/pads can self-ignite due to heat build-up! Therefore, clean them immediately after use or store them under water. The product itself is not self-igniting.
