OLI-NATURA High-Solid Hard Wax Oil
Protects with just one application of oil
.The solvent-free OLI-NATURA HS Hard Wax Oil combines the best properties of natural oils and waxes and protects the wood with only one application. The oils penetrate deep into the wood and protect the wood from the inside. The wax remains on the surface and forms an additional, insensitive and pleasant-to-the-touch protective layer. The high solid content of 100% guarantees maximum resistance and gives the wood even more expression. The surface is easy to maintain and can be re-oiled and repaired again and again. The wood remains breathable and open to diffusion: moisture from the air can be absorbed and released again. This ensures a balanced room climate, which has a positive effect on people's well-being.
The "OLI-NATURA HS Hard Wax Oil" is based on modified vegetable oils and waxes. It offers the highest Giscode rating Ö10+, because it is formulated without solvents and free of biocides,cobalt-containing compounds as well as oximes. That is why our "OLI-NATURA HS Hard Wax Oil" is so healthy for the home and suitable for children's toys. It is also LFGB-certified (food safe). The cured material is saliva- and perspiration-proof and thus harmless to humans, animals and plants as well as a building product approved by the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt).
Suitable for: For untreated, freshly sanded or leached solid wood indoors. Particularly suitable for floorboards, parquet and wooden floors.
Application
Preparation:Sand wood surface carefully, start with coarse sanding, final sanding for floors P100-150, for furniture P180-240. wood moisture: 8-12%. The surface must be dry, thoroughly cleaned and free from oil, wax, grease, silicone and sanding dust. Apply material at room temperature and shake/agitate well.
In the parquet area: Apply oil evenly thinly in sections for 5-10 m² with microfibre roller, oil applicator, oil brush or flat brush. After 30-60 minutes, massage in with a single-disc machine and beige pad until the wood is saturated and appears evenly matt. For final polish and to remove any excess oil, buff out with a polishing pad/oil absorbent cloth.
In furniture: Apply an even thin coat of oil with a flat brush/surface brush in the direction of the grain. After 30 minutes exposure time in the wet phase, massage in with beige pad until the surface appears evenly matt. Remove any excess oil with a cotton cloth/oil absorbent cloth. Alternatively, the oil can also be sanded into the wood with a soaked, fine sanding fleece. After a short reaction time, remove any excess oil with a cotton cloth/oil absorbent cloth. The surface should appear evenly matt.
The surface is dry and brittle? The water resistance and colour depth is diminishing? - Now it's time for maintenance!
In order to maintain the protective effect, oiling should be done occasionally. To do this, simply apply a little oil to a beige pad or cotton cloth and gently massage it in.
The following applies to everyday cleaning:
Regular dusting forms the basis. For light soiling, it is usually sufficient to wipe the surface with a damp cotton cloth and then wipe dry. Stubborn dirt can be removed gently with our wood soap - diluted with water or pure, depending on the degree of soiling. Do not use all-purpose or conventional household cleaners, as these can leach out the wood and attack the protection. To maintain the protective effect, oil the wood occasionally. To do this, simply apply a little oil to a beige pad or cotton cloth and massage in gently.
Consumption: 1 coat, depending on the absorbency of the substrate 20-40 g/m² per coat (25-50 m²/l)
.Drying: Depending on humidity and temperature, the surface is dust-dry after 1-2 hours and fully cured after 2-3 days - as 2-component version after 24 hours. Protect from water during this time. Consumption/drying depend on the type of wood and the absorbency of the substrate. Excess material on non-absorbent areas delays drying, as do low temperatures and/or excessive humidity and/or excessive wood moisture.
Note: Oil-soaked rags/pads can self-ignite due to heat build-up! Therefore, clean them immediately after use or store them under water. The product itself is not self-igniting.
